Genre Studies

As part of the revitalization of CINE FEEL YEAH and its incorporation of the short-lived film and TV blog Spoiler Rich, I have inaugurated a new content section of the site: Genre Studies. While CINE FEEL YEAH will likely continue its course as a collection of close film analyses, I cannot promise that I won’t feel the urge to write about films or groups of films according to how they fit into wider discussions of film genre(s).

Furthermore, “genre” is really just the French word for “kind,” and sometimes the word carries the connotation “gender.” As such, “Genre Studies” will also feature essays whose primary raison d’etre is to examine representations of various genders on screen.

NOTE: Hover over “Genre Studies” in the navigation menu to see the most recently published essay titles. You can always look here for the full listing of such articles.
